More about
The Orthodox New Testament, Volume Two: Acts, Epistles, and Revelation
The Orthodox New Testament, Volume Two gathers the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles, and the Book of Revelation into a single companion volume for Orthodox Christian readers. It is designed for the faithful who want to read the apostolic writings in the voice and understanding of the Orthodox Church.
This volume takes its cue from a moment recorded in the Acts of the Apostles, when the Spirit told the Apostle Philip, "Go near and join thyself to this chariot." Philip heard the Ethiopian eunuch reading the Prophet Isaiah and asked, "So then dost thou really understand what thou readest?" The eunuch answered, "No, how can I, unless someone should guide me?" (Acts 8:29-30). This edition is offered in that same spirit of guided reading.
Readers will find the Acts of the Apostles, the catholic and Pauline Epistles, and the Revelation of Saint John the Theologian. It is a natural fit for personal devotion, parish Bible study, catechumen preparation, seminary use, and anyone wanting the apostolic writings in an Orthodox framework.
This is Volume Two in the set and pairs naturally with the Gospels volume for readers building a complete Orthodox New Testament library. It also makes a meaningful gift for a baptism, chrismation, ordination, nameday, or graduation.
