Terms of service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of livesofthesaintscalendar.com and the Lives of the Saints calendar application (together, the “Site”) and to any order you place through the Site. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

2. Orders and payment

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock shortages; if we cancel an order after payment, we refund the full amount.

Prices are shown in United States dollars. Applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or duty is added at checkout where we are required to collect it. Payments are processed by Stripe; by placing an order you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide.

3. Shipping

Orders ship from the United States. Shipping rates and delivery estimates are shown at checkout and are provided by EasyPost based on real carrier quotes. Delivery times are estimates; we are not liable for carrier delays. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier accepts the package.

International orders may be subject to duties, import taxes, or customs fees assessed on delivery. Where we are registered to collect destination taxes (for example EU IOSS, UK VAT, Canadian GST/HST, Australian GST), those amounts are collected at checkout and remitted on your behalf.

4. Returns and refunds

If an item arrives damaged or an order is wrong, write to us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or issue a refund. Calendars and books are otherwise final sale. Digital downloads are non-refundable once accessed. See the FAQ for full details.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You may delete your account at any time by writing to us.

6. Intellectual property

The text, photographs, illustrations, icons, and layout on the Site are either owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted. Republication, mirroring, commercial use, or training of machine-learning models on Site content requires our written permission.

Public-domain or third-party content is attributed where applicable; see the Sources section at the foot of each saint and article page.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Site to send unsolicited commercial messages; (b) attempt to disrupt the Site, bypass security, or access data that isn’t yours; (c) scrape or bulk-download content except as allowed by our robots.txt; or (d) use the Site in any way that violates applicable law.

8. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Saint biographies and articles are compiled from hagiographical sources and are intended for devotional and educational reading; they are not theological or canonical rulings of any jurisdiction.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Site or any order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
