Acceptable use

We're glad you want to build with us. Three rules keep this sustainable for everyone.

1. Attribution on free tier

Free-tier integrations must display “Powered by Lives of the Saints API” linking to https://livesofthesaintscalendar.com/developers wherever data from the API is shown. Paid tiers (Starter and above) may remove this attribution.

2. Don't re-host the dataset

You may cache responses for performance and you may store data in your own database to power your application. You may notpublish a competing data feed, sell access to the raw dataset, or train a foundation model on bulk exports. We catch this with usage patterns; please don't make us be jerks about it.

If you're doing academic research or building a dataset for a non-commercial public good, email us — we have a research license.

3. No abuse, no scraping, no impersonation

• No automated key creation or signups.
• No traffic patterns designed to mask quota (key-rotation, IP rotation, etc.).
• No use that implies an editorial endorsement we did not give.
• No use in violation of the laws of the user's jurisdiction.

Enforcement

Violations result in key revocation and, where commercial, a notice. We reserve the right to terminate keys with cause and refund the unused portion of a paid month.
